Mr Guy Thornycroft

Guy Thornycroft BCom, DipFP
Guy was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He gained a B.Com Economics from Rhodes University, South Africa, then qualified as a Financial Planner in Scotland. He moved to Australia in 2000 to take up the running of a Financial Planning Software company, Prestwood.
As former Director of Prestwood Australia Pty Ltd, Guy oversaw the marketing and sales of Prestwood's lifestyle-based financial planning software throughout Australia.
Guy sat on the Australian Financial Planning Association (FPA) Sydney Chapter Committee in a variety of role.
He was an integral part in the development of the FPA’s Accredited Estate Planning Strategist (AEPS) designation for members. He also chaired the independent, industry based, Estate Planning Experience Assessment Committee.
For two years, Guy worked with Estplan Pty Ltd to develop training and consulting services for advisers who are starting or growing their client Estate Planning offering.

Guy lives on the Central Coast with his wife Fiona and their four children. He plays the Oboe in the Central Coast Concert Band and has a passion for spearfishing.
