Affiliate membership is available to those with an interest in the consulting profession who are not practising management consultants. This includes students pursuing a career in consulting and other stakeholders who may wish to be kept abreast of industry developments and network with consultants. Affiliate membership allows individuals to network with management consultants establishing those important contacts and learning about the industry.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (AIMC)
Practising management consultants may qualify as Associate members. Academics and those who provide internal consulting services qualify as Associate members until they meet the qualifications to be graded as full Members.

FULL MEMBER (MIMC)
Full membership, with the accompanying recognition and business development benefits, is open to management consultants who are able to demonstrate appropriate experience and qualifications. Graduates with three years consulting experience may qualify for full Membership. Alternatively, applicants who are non-graduates but possess eight years consulting experience may qualify for full Membership. Management consultants are able to benefit from the many networking and business opportunities membership will provide.

CORPORATE MEMBER (MIMC)
Corporate membership is open to consultants working in Management Consulting organisations with five or more practising management consultants.
An initial relationship is established with each consulting firm applying for Corporate Membership, and then members of that firm individually complete their applications for assessment.

CERTIFIED MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT (CMC)
Certified Management Consultant (CMC) is the international mark of competency for the management consulting profession. The CMC designation is consistent with internationally accepted standards and indicates that a management consultant meets specific requirements of character, education and experience.

FELLOW (FIMC)
Consultants who have held the grade of Member for not less than five years, practiced consulting for not less than fifteen years and are deemed to have served the profession with distinction, may be nominated for Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants.
